In Jan-Oct 2016 services in Armenia experienced 7.7% year-over-year growth

ArmInfo. In Jan-Oct 2016,  services in Armenia grew by 7.7% versus Jan-Oct 2015, and amounted to  1 trillion AMD ($ 2.1 bln), versus 2.8% growth a year before. In  October alone, the indicator dropped by 3% to 114.1 bln AMD ($240  mln).

The National Statistics Service of Armenia reports that services in  education grew by 4%, healthcare - by 2.1%, services in the real  estate market - by 6.5%, transport - by 23.1%, while services in  information and communication dropped by 0.7%. The financial sector  was in the lead in terms of services - 203.2 bln AMD (19.7% of total  services), with the biggest share here falling on the banks. The  following sectors ranked next: culture, recreation and leisure -  196.3 bln AMD (19%), information and communications - 177.5 bln AMD  (17.2%), transport - 138.9 bln AMD (13.5%), public catering and  tourism - 77.6 bln AMD (7.5%).
