Armenian economy minister holds a number of meetings in the UAE

ArmInfo. During his working  visit to the UAE, Armenian Minister of Economic Development and  Investments Suren Karayan met with Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE  Minister of Economy.   

The Ministry's press office has told ArmInfo that the sides stressed  the importance of implementing the arrangements reached during the  visit of the Armenian President to the UAE. Karayan spoke of the GSP  and GSP+ preferential trade regimes, as well as Armenia's talks with  various countries regarding creation of a free trade area within the  Eurasian Economic Union, particularly, with Iran, Singapore, India,  and Egypt. The Armenian delegation presented 32 investment projects  to the UAE side. 

The UAE economy minister expressed willingness to deepen the trade  and economic relations between the two countries. 

Suren Karayan also met with Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD)  Director General Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi. The sides exchanged their  views of investment issues and thoroughly discussed the steps towards  creation of a common investment fund.   

During his working visit to the UAE, Suren Karayan met with Abu Dhabi  Investment Authority (ADIA) Director Khalil Mohammed Foulathi. The  Armenian minister presented Armenia's business capacities, investment  programs, economic sectors having an investment potential, as well as  investment environment of Armenia.   

The meeting with the management of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce  and Industry covered issues related to holding of an investment forum  in Abu Dhabi in 2017.
