Armenian CC Head: Need to work wit Belarus to set joint ventures

ArmInfo. Armenian Chamber of Commerce Head thinks that within the purpose of improving the cooperation between Armenia and Belarus is is necessary to set joint ventures to exit third countries markets. "It seems we have no other options: each of two parties is unable to provide external markets with satisfactory quantities of  products,"Andranik Alexanyan, the Armenia Chamber of Commerce Director stated at the margins of Armenian-Belarusian Business meeting.

According to Alexanyan, due to small volumes of local market, Armenia is unable to secure precise market for  Belarusian manufacturers. " Belarusian business is aware about that. In this context, it is necessary to consolidate the efforts and to work in respect  to Iran, Iraq, Syria markets access," he mentioned. We could succeed with reaching the acces to third markets, if Belarusian side provides technologies for Armenia, where joint ventures will be set in this case using local labor facilities. Such prospective is clearly visible, for instance, in the food processing sector. It is not known yet how far Belarusian interest goes in these plans, but, following Andranik Alexanyan, the proposal is very attractive, because Belarusian entrepreneurs are interested to enter Iranian market.

To mention, on January 25 a business meeting on Belarusian Enterprises  Mission in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia, started in Yerevan.  The goal of the project is to establish direct and mutually beneficial cooperation of the businessmen of two countries in the fields of trade and industry.
