ArmInfo. The World Economic Forum in Davos could become a good platform for presenting the Armenian investment projects, but it is not the only platform, Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan told reporters following the Government's sitting on January 26.
The 47th World Economic Forum was held in Davos, Switzerland, on January 17-20. Armenia failed to attend the forum. "We keep a close eye on these processes, however, due to the overloaded situation, we had no opportunity to attend the forum," he said.
When replying to the remark that Georgia and Azerbaijan participated in the forum at the level of Premier and ministers and had a chance to speak of large projects, while Armenia failed to use that convenient platform to present such programs as construction of the new power unit of the Armenian NPP or Iran- Armenia railway, the minister stressed that these projects are presented on other platforms and to all potential investors. "Yes, the forum in Davos would be a good platform to present these projects, but it is not the only one and our non-participation does not at all mean that our investment projects will not be presented to the potential investors," Karayan said.
