Suren Karayan, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments on January 27 received Iranian Delegation headed by Mohsen Khadem Arab Baghi> According to to the Ministtry press office, welcoming the guests Minister mentioned that two friendly countries by their joint efforts could secure faster development of economy. According to the Minister, i9s is necessary to use fully the potential for cooperation. "We should try to arrange joint ventures and production export to external markets."
The head of Economy Ministry reminded that Armenia announced the establishment of FEZ in Meghri by Iranian border. The Minister thinks that every possible thing will be done to arrange the efficient work of two FEZ (Armenian in Meghri and Iranian Aras near Armenian border). Armenia and Meghri should be the center of economic activities in the region, " he stated.
Suren Karayan offered to arrange a business forum upon creation of FEZ in Meghri within the participation of all the stakeholders for their closest knowledge of FEZ options and prospective. In his turn the FEZ head mentioned the importance of business cooperation, particularly in respect to common work in the FEZ.
During the meeting parties also discussed issues of mutual interest in the aspects of agriculture, milg production, mining production, high technologies and tourism.
