Gazprom Armenia traditionally holds leadership position among largest  taxpayers

ArmInfo. Gazprom Armenia  retains its leadership position among the largest taxpayers of  Armenia, in 2016 the company paid 42.4 bln drams taxes to the state  budget, 251 mln drams of which are custom duties, 7.5 bln  drams-direct taxes (including income tax, tax on profit), 34.1 bln  drams-indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax). 

According to the data of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia the  top-5 taxpayers have paid 112.6 bln drams (9.1% y-o-y decline), 38.5  bln of which are direct taxes (income tax, profit tax) and 70.9 bln  -indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

Grand Tobacco Canadian- Armenian JV rose to the second position among  TOP-5 taxpayers from the 8th position in 2015. Electric Networks of  Armenia goes the third; Vorotan Cascade of HPP rose to the 4th  position from the previous year's 5th place. Alex Grig LLC rounds out  the TOP-5 versus the 4th position in previous year.  CPS Oil  Corporation goes 6th (versus 10th position in previous year), Teghout  mining company ranks 7th (versus 21st position in previous year),  K-Telecom (trademark VIVACell-MTS) is the 8th (versus 3rd position in  previous year), "Armenia Telephone Company" CJSC (Beeline trademark)  holds the 9th position  (versus 7th position in previous year) and  Flash OJSC is the 10th versus the 9th place in previous year. 

Grand Tobacco Canadian- Armenian JV paid 22.5 bln drams taxes to the  state budget, 4.9 bln drams of which are custom duties, 6.4 bln  drams-direct taxes (including income tax, tax on profit), 15.9 bln  drams-indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

Electric Networks of Armenia paid 17.2 bln drams taxes to the state  budget, 8.8 bln drams of which are custom duties, 7.4 bln  drams-direct taxes 9.3 bln drams-indirect taxes (including VAT,  excise tax).

Vorotan Cascade of HPP paid 15.5 bln drams taxes to the state budget,  15.5 bln drams of which are custom duties, 15.5 bln drams-direct  taxes and 13.3 mln drams-indirect taxes.

Alex Grig LLC paid 14.8 bln drams taxes to the state budget, 7.8 bln  drams of which are custom duties, 1.5 bln drams-direct taxes, 11.4  bln drams-indirect taxes.

To note, in 2015 TOP-5 taxpayers in Armenia were Gazprom Armenia CJSC  (retains leadership since 2012), Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum  Combine, K-Telecom, Vorotan Cascade of HPP, and Alex Grig LLC. In  overall these companies paid 124 bln drams taxes. (Exchange rate of  dram against US dollar was 483.94 AMD/$1 on December 31 2016).
