ArmInfo. The mInistry of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia, which is responsible for adoption of district projects, as of today has received 132 projects. This was stated by David Lokyan, the head of the Ministry, during his meeting with journalists, while summarizing the results of district visits of the Prime Minister during the period of recent 2,5 months.
According to the Minister, the projects proposed are referred particularly to the sector of agricultural products processing, tourism, electric and hydro power plants construction. According to Lokyan's clarifications, in the future such projects will pass the appropriate assessment of the Ministry in respect to their investment visibility. After that the projects are submitted for the Government review, and passed to districts entities.
In common, following the Minister's information, based on results of districts visits, project packages are developed at the total cost of approximately AMD 200 bln. According to Lokyan's clarifications, for the further funding of projects, a special platform was created at the Central bank of the Republic of Armenia, to implement those feasibility study. " Only after that the funding of the project within the participation of banks will become possible. Besides, the enterprises will be granted an option to get loans with lower interest rates," the Minister ensured.
