Armenian Prime Minister instructed to study the irrigation problems  in the country

ArmInfo. Karen Karapetyan, the  Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, in the run up to the  irrigation season instructed the top managers of authorized entities  to study the inconformity   between the lands actually irrigated and  those fixed as irrigated but actually not maintained.   

The Prime Minister reminded that due to summary data of State Water  Committee under the Ministry of Energy  Infrastructure and Natural  Resources, today the irrigation is implemented actually only at 47%  of the territories deinf fixed in the Cadaster of irrigated lands.  "We consider this indicator unacceptable," the prime Minister stated.   Proceeding of the mentioned above, the prime Minister instructed the  Ministers of Agriculture, Territorial Administration and Development,  Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources, and the State Water  Resources Committee  to implement  within 10 day term the appropriate  studies in 10 communities having  higher level of derivation  from  the cultivation norms, and to present justifications.
