Karapetyan and Medvedev discussed further deepening of economic interaction

ArmInfo. In the framework of his working visit to Bishkek, Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan met with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.

As the press-office of the Armenian Government informed ArmInfo, the sides touched on the implementation of agreements reached during Karapetyan's visit to Russia in January 2017, particularly, on creation of an Armenian-Russian investment fund, involvement of Russian companies in Meghri free economic zone (Armenian-Iranian state border - editor's note), delivery of agricultural equipment.  The interlocutors discussed a wide spectrum of economic issues on the bilateral agenda.

Karapetyan and Medvedev reaffirmed willingness to expand Armenian-Russian allied cooperation in terms of activation of trade-economic relations both in the bilateral format and within the Eurasian Economic Union. 

The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is holding a meeting in Bishkek on March 7 in the framework of Kyrgyzstan's EEU chairmanship.
