Authorities are intended to improve commercial effect of Sevan National Park

ArmInfo. Karen Karapetyan,  the  Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, insists to apply all the  authorities tools in respect to all law violations. This was stated  by him during  regular government session dedicated to Sevan national  park issues.  According to the information obtained by ArmInfo at the  press office of the Government, Artsvik Minasyan, the Nature   Protection Minister, and Vaghe Gulanyan, the Director of Sevan  National Park, reported the data on activity of Sevan National  Park,  presented administrative, economic, environmental, urban issues and  items related to land acquisition.  

Karen Karapetyan mentioned the importance of   Sevan National  Park  Activities and instructed to submit proposals  on it's development in   respect to profit obtaining. " It is necessary to apply all the state  enforcement tools in respect to law violations of all kinds." He  mentioned also that the territories of the National Park  have key  importance not only  in environmental and social meaning, but also a  serious economic potential, particularly, from the point of view of  tourism development. At that, it is   very often that  all the  territories mentioned are not effectively used.  

Proceeding of that, Karen  Karapetyan instructed the heads of the  Ministries of Nature  Protection and Territorial Development  to  discuss within 2 month  term and to submit  for the Government review   2017- 2020  Gegharkunik  Region Development Project (Sevan  National  Park Zone), accentuating  the environmental and economic aspects.
