In 2017-20 42 state companies will be privatized in Armenia

ArmInfo. Armenian State Property  program will involve 42 companies in 2017-20, Arman Sahakyan, Head of  the State Property Department told the journalists. Armenian  Government during the session confirmed the accounting for 2016 on  implementation of Privatization Program of State Property for  2006-2007.

According to Sahakyan, 23 companies from new list were planned to be  privatized within the program of 2006-2007, and only 17 companies  were involved in the list. Sahakyan did not say anything about the  two companies. To note, even at the end of 2000s the Government  intended to implement companies total list active privatization via  purchasing their shares at the stock exchange. However, he did not  manage to do that because of the strong counteraction of those who  practically controlled and continues to control these state  properties.
