ArmInfo. Armenian State Property department should become a structure which activity is aimed at the effective provision of commercial results, Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan stated during his visit to Armenian State Property Management office on May 19.
According to the country's executive body press service, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the programs on state property privatization and reforms implemented in the sphere. According to the head of the department Arman Sahakyan, in 2017 63 real estate units were put up for sale, 24 from which were alienated by holding an auction. The price of the sold property amounted 236 million AMD. In general, the sale of 63 units of real estate is expected to receive 600 million AMD. It was also reported that a program of privatization of state-owned property for 2017-2020 was developed, in accordance to which it is planned to attract 35 billion AMD.
The Prime Minister asked about the number of state real estate and how much of them are subject to sale. "We need to intensify all the property that does not work, since this is the money that is not allocated, and we will be able to invest in the infrastructures with the funds raised." In this regard, you must attract means, "Karen Karapetyan said. He stressed that the auction sale of state property will be carried out quickly, as openly and transparently as possible. The Prime Minister also pointed to the importance of involving in the sales process agencies that have experience in real estate.
Arman Sahakyan stressed that this situation is registered in the reform program.
"This should be implemented maximally fast and confidently. There must be an active team here.We need a creative, non-standard approach. I would like to see traders who have fire in their eyes, who act fast, without tying ties but running the property very effectively, not bureaucrats," Prime Minister stressed.
