ArmInfo. The development of extreme tourism in Armenia faces obstacles first due to the absence of cooperation between Armenian insurers and tourism sector entities. Such an opinion was stated by participants of the meeting arranged on June 7 by the State Committee on Tourism, comprising representatives of tourism development companies, associations, and federations occupied in the field on extreme tourism.
In this respect Vladimir Grigoryan, the Director of DA Tours Company stated that currently negotiations are in progress with Rosgosstrakh Armenia Insurance Company. " The Insurance Company required to submit statistics data, after which during one week the Company will present its offers, " he mentioned.
"At the same time, the attendants of the meeting stated the necessity in setting more coordinated dialogue between all the participants of tourism sector in Armenia, starting with guides and finishing with tour operators.
According to the data of State Committee on Tourism, the number of international arrivals in Armenia in QI of 217 increased for 18,2% - up to 599, 3 thousand, which is preconditioned mainly with the growth of Iranian and Russian tourists visits - for 17,7 and 7,5% respectively. To remind, the State Committee on Tourism under the Minsitry of Economic Development and Investments was established in 2016.
