During 2017-2022period Armenia will annually increase agricultural production by at least 5%

ArmInfo.The purpose of the  Armenian government is to ensure an annual increase in gross output  in the agricultural sector by at least 5%. This is stated in the  officially published program of the Government of Armenia for  2017-2022, submitted for approval by the Parliament of Armenia.

In 2018-2022 it is expected to implement a program to ensure the  availability of a wide range of fertilizers for the villagers. Until  the end of 2017 will be developed and during 2018-2022 implemented a  program of state action to create intensive orchards, bringing their  area to 100 hectares.

To ensure long-term development of livestock, the government plans to  purchase pedigree calves before the end of 2017 and provide  cattle-breeding farms on available terms. During 2018-2022 on the  basis of cooperation with the private sector it is planned to create  4 large breeding farms. In order to ensure a stable anti-epidemic  situation in the next 5 years, a large-scale vaccination program for  animals is envisaged.

In the context of modernization of agricultural machinery and within  the framework of the program of state acquisition of agrotechnics for  leasing, the government plans to re-equip the agricultural park of  the country by the end of 2017 to the amount of 3 billion AMD. Credit  funds will be provided to farms at a rate of 2% per annum with a  maturity of 3-10 years. In the section of 2017-2021 on the basis of  cooperation with the private sector, a program will be implemented  for the creation of machine and tractor stations.  For the  implementation of modern technologies in the sphere of agriculture  during 2018-2022 the government proposes to implement a program on  subsidizing loans for the introduction of drip irrigation systems for  10 thousand hectares of land. In addition, the state program is  implemented in the direction of implementation of anti-hail networks  on terms accessible to farmers.
