Beeline and VTB Bank announced launch of an innovative proposal - purchase of equipment in installments without interest and commissions

ArmInfo. Beeline, within the framework of cooperation with VTB Bank (Armenia), launches an innovative proposal - the purchase of equipment in Beeline sales offices without payment of commissions and interest. On June 21, during a joint press conference with Beeline CEO Andrey Pyatakhin, the General Director of VTB Bank (Armenia) Yuri Gusev said.

"This is an absolutely innovative product in the Armenian market and the most client-oriented. In general, I believe that such products are products of market development in the future," Gusev emphasized. At the same time, he noted that the new offer is consistent with the main demand of the market - lower interest rates and debt burden for customers. In this connection, the Director General of VTB Bank (Armenia) explained: "Within the framework of the joint offer, we provide the opportunity, by purchasing the desired goods, to pay at a convenient schedule for clients. And most importantly, we do not apply interest and various commissions to the payment schedule of the goods."

For his part, Beeline's CEO Andrey Pyatakhin noted that in the offices of Beeline's sales and service, smartphones are provided in installments along with postpaid tariff plans Smart (from 2500 to 7500 AMD).  He explained that the cost of the purchased goods includes payment for communication services. "Beeline continues to take care of the simplicity and convenience of providing services, trying to make them as accessible as possible. For example, buying an Iphone 7 in installments for 24 months, the subscriber will pay only 22 000 AMD per month, while monthly receiving also services under the tariff plan "Smart 5500", - said the general director of Beeline. At the same time, he noted that the sale of smartphones is not the main goal of the company. With the launch of the new offer, the company plans to attract more customers by showing how profitable and affordable Beeline services are. "In addition to the equipment, customers are given the opportunity to use mobile communication, Internet Beeline, which is very convenient and profitable," he added, according to A. Pyatakhin, the technology is not blocked, and the client can use other telecom operators if desired. He said that customers can pay for the smartphone and communication services through all payment channels, in particular, by replenishing the balance on the phone at Beeline sales offices, at payment terminals, ATMs of VTB Bank.

Answering the question of ArmInfo, Andrey Pyatakhin noted that the company does not exclude cooperation with other banks in the framework of similar proposals. "We are not closed to cooperation with other banks, but we prefer to interact with those with whom we have been working for a long time and are sure of," he stressed. Concerning the increase in sales, and in particular the client base, Pyatakhin found it difficult to give any forecast, but he expressed confidence in the success of this initiative.

To note, the decision to sell the smartphone in installments is made in the offices of Beeline under the terms of VTB Bank (Armenia) with the presentation of passport and social card. The age of the buyer at the time of payment by installments should not be less than 21 years, and at the time of repayment - should not exceed 65 years.

According to the financial rating of Armenian banks prepared by IA ArmInfo, VTB Bank (Armenia) is included in TOP-3 in terms of consumer loans - 63.5 billion AMD as of April 1, 2017. The loan portfolio of the Bank accounts for 40% of the demand for loans. In the total consumer loans of the Armenian banking system, the share of VTB Bank Armenia exceeds 12%.

To note, "VTB Bank (Armenia)" CJSC became a participant of the international financial group VTB in April 2004. At present, VTB Bank, the second largest in Russia, owns 100% of VTB Bank (Armenia).
