AMD Strengthening  to the dollar continues

At the same time, in the domestic intra bankmarket, the growth of the dollar buying almost repeated the dynamics of the week ago amid a change in the trend of the euro transactions from a growth to a decline and the activation of the sale of the ruble.  Exchange market for a month as it continues to be empty.

As a result, in the reporting week, AMD versus the dollar continued to strengthen - from 481.5 to 480.5 AMD / $ 1, keeping the position to the euro at 537 AMD / 1evro, continuing the revaluation to the ruble - from 8.3 to 8 AMD / 1 ruble. A year earlier, on June 23, 2016, the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 475.5 AMD / $ 1, to the euro -539 AMD / 1evro, and to the ruble - 7.4 AMD / ruble, which, in comparison with the current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the dram to Dollar and ruble, while strengthening versus the euro.

According to the  Central Bank of Armenia press service, from June 19 to 23, no transactions were made at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange, and this is the fourth week of "silence". At the same time, the interbank foreign exchange accounted for $ 6.5 million at the weighted average rate of 480.68 AMD / $ 1 (against the previous 482.18) for the reporting week. In particular, the interbank currency bank opened the week actively from $ 1.3 million, sharply lowering its turnover to a minimum of $ 400,000 on Wednesday, then gaining momentum to a weekly high of $ 2.6 million on Friday. In parallel, in the domestic intra bank market, dollar buying slowed growth from 30% to 20 % With a change in the dynamics of sales from 36.7% growth to a 0.3% decline, for European transactions 56.5-15.4%, the upward trend was replaced by a downward 39.1-0.15%, Against which the growth in the sale of the ruble accelerated from 4.7% to 20.1%, and ruble buying changed its dynamics from a 17.2% growth to a 5.9% decline. As a result, $ 95.2 million was purchased at the average exchange rate of 479.88 AMD / $ 1, 8.1 million euro at the average rate of 533.95 dr / 1EUR, and 1.1 billion rubles. At an average rate of 8.10 AMD / 1RUR, and sold $ 92.98 million at an average rate of 481.14 AMD / $ 1, 13.5 million euro at an average rate of 538.26 AMD / 1EUR, and 505.6 million rubles. At the average rate of 8.18 AMD / 1RUR.

According to the source, over the previous week (from June 12 to 17), Armenian banks issued AMD 53.8 billion AMD and dollar loans for $ 37.8 million. In comparison with the previous period (from June 5 to June 10), the dynamics of loans issued is as follows: AMD Slipped from 72.5% growth to 36% decline, and dollar, on the contrary, with a 38.5% decline came in 37.5% growth.
