Polish investor interested in investments in Armenia in poultry sector

ArmInfo. The Polish investor is  interested in investments in Armenia in the field of poultry farming.  This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the  Polish company SAR Yacek Zhozefchuk during the meeting with the  Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia  Tigran Khachatryan. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of  Poland to Armenia Jerzy Marek Nowakowski.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic  Development and Investments of Armenia, Josefchuk noted that the  purpose of their visit is to discuss investment prospects in the  field of poultry farming, and also to present products of the company  Power end gold SAR, which produces energy drinks based on natural raw  materials.

"The investment program assumes partnership with local business- 80%  will be Polish investments, 20% - funds of the Armenian partner. At  the same time, the initial investment volume will be $ 25 million and  involves the creation of an entire production chain - a chicken  breeding farm, own slaughterhouse and a sausage shop. It is also  planned to introduce biogas plants for waste processing, "the press  service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade said.

It should be noted that there are more than ten large poultry farms  in Armenia, the largest of which are Araks, Arzni, Lusakert, and the  Yerevan poultry farm. In 2016, 656 million eggs were produced in  Armenia, 3.8 million of which were incubated, and the rest -  commodity. 11 thousand tons of poultry meat were produced. At the  same time, last year Armenia imported 30 thousand tons of poultry  meat.
