AMD changed mood from strengthening to devaluation

ArmInfo.The currency interbank  of Armenia reduced the volume by 28.7% from July 17 to 21, after a  sharp increase of 3.3 times a week earlier. In parallel with this,  more actively selling dollars and euros in the intra-bank foreign  exchange market against the backdrop of the continuing activity of  buying up the ruble. Exchange market is empty for now.

As a result, in the reporting week, the AMD was rebuilt from  strengthening to devaluation against the USD - from 478.5 to 479  AMD/USD1 and to the EUR - from 545 to 556 AMD/EUR1, maintaining its  position relative to the RUR at 8 AMD/RUR1. A year earlier, on July  21, 2016, the exchange rate of the AMD to the USD was 476.5 AMD/USD1,  to the EUR - 525.5 AMD/EUR1, and to the RUR - 7.5 AMD/RUR1, which in  comparison with the current rates indicates an annual devaluation of  the AMD to these currencies.
