In Armenia, in July 2017, amid an annual inflation of 0.9%, AMD  weakened against the dollar by 0.5%

ArmInfo. Deflation in the  consumer market of Armenia in January- July 2017 was 1.4% followed by  AMD revaluation of AMD to the dollar by 0.8%, while a year ago,  consumer prices decreased by 3.3% while strengthening the dram  against the dollar by 1.3%.

According to national Statistical Service  of Armenia, in July 2017 compared to July 2016 inflation of 0.9% was  accompanied by a devaluation of AMD to the dollar by 0.5%.

Only in July 2017 AMD was revalued versus  dollar by 0.5% with  deflation of the demand of 2.6%. In July 2017, the average settlement  rate was 479.0 AMD / $ 1, against 476.5 AMD / $ 1 - in July 2016,  477.3 AMD / $ 1 - in July 2015.

By way of comparison, in July 2016, in comparison with July 2015,  deflation in the consumer market of Armenia in 1.3% was accompanied  by the revaluation of the dram to the dollar by 0.2%, but only in  July 2016 the deflation of 2.3% was accompanied by the revaluation of  AMD to the dollar by 0.2%.

To note, AMD currency rate was formed on the average by 478.5 AMD / $  1 on August 14, 2017, versus 484 AMD / $ 1 as of December 31, 2016  and 476.5 AMD / $ 1 as of August 15, 2016 at the retail currency  market of Armenia.
