Armenia, in Q1 2017, has been exporting aluminum foil by 6.5% per annum

ArmInfo. Armenia in Q1 2017 increased export of aluminum foil by 6.5% annually- up to 15.9 thousand tons, versus growth of 1.8% a year ago. According to Armenian Customs Service, in monetary terms, exports of foil increased by 18.5% per annum - up to $ 47.2 million.

Basically, the foil was exported to the USA (42.4%) and Germany (35%), as well as to Poland (6.8%), Canada (5.1%), Netherlands (3.7%) and Italy (2, 8%).

At the same time, Armenia reduced the volume of imported foil by 16.6% to 512.7 tons, with a decrease in customs value by 25.2% - to $ 2.1 million. In general, foil was imported from Greece (91%), and from Russia and China, respectively, 5.6% and 3.1%.  According to the National Statistical Service of  Armenia, in the first half of 2017 the production of aluminum foil increased by 5.2% - to 15.8 thousand tons. For the entire 2016 production of foil in Armenia decreased by 2.1% - to 29.01 thousand tons. A year ago, in 2015, the production of foil in Armenia increased by 1.4% - to 29.6 thousand tons.
