ArmInfo. The State Committee for Tourism of Armenia considers the development of the tourism sector not only from the point of view of ensuring the economic growth of the republic, but also a guarantor for its participation in international political processes. Zarmine Zeituntsyan, the head of the Committee, stated this in a conversation with journalists on September 18 in the fields of the "Armenia-Diaspora" Pan-Armenian Forum.
According to Zeytuntsyan, if you look at the representative of the Armenian Diaspora, Armenia is an exclusively conflicting zone. In this regard, as she noted, the State Committee with the help of the media is already working in this direction. "I personally met with representatives of the press and all those sites with which the diaspora gets information about Armenia and they should receive interesting and informative information about Armenia, including from the Armenian media, because representatives of our diaspora are read more by Armenian media, than foreign ones," Zeytuntsyan said.
In order to raise awareness among representatives of the Armenian Diaspora, the Committee initiated a new project. "Every month we will send an electronic newsletter to all church communities that will send them to all representatives of their communities," she said. According to Zeytuntsyan, the Armenian Diaspora needs to provide such information so that they want to come to Armenia and spend their vacations here.
The Sixth All-Armenian Forum "Armenia-Diaspora" is held on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the heroic May battles and the First Armenian Republic, under the motto "Mutual trust, unity and responsibility". State, political, public figures, leaders and members of pan-Armenian structures and organizations operating in communities, journalists, representatives of education, culture and clergy from Armenia, Karabakh and foreign countries take part in the forum. In the framework of the 6th Armenia-Diaspora Forum, educational institutions, wine, cognac and textile producers will present their achievements. Artsakh also presents its economic and cultural achievements.
