Denis Manturov: The volumes of counterfeiting and smuggling are still estimated at billions of dollars

ArmInfo. The volumes of  counterfeiting and smuggling continue to amount to billions of  dollars, significantly limiting the opportunities for developing fair  business of our countries. This was stated by the Minister of  Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov during the opening of the  second International Forum of Eurasian Partnership on October 6 in  Yerevan.

According to him, as a systematic solution to this problem,  widespread introduction of marking of goods produced or imported into  the territory of the Union is seen. "The first such pilot project on  fur products by the countries of the Union has already been  successfully implemented," Manturov said. To translate this  experience into other commodity groups, a draft of the relevant  Agreement has been prepared and approved by the Council of EEC.

"We expect that after it is signed by all states, we will be able to  promptly begin construction of a system of end-to-end traceability of  goods in the perimeter of the borders of the EEU," he said.

According to the minister, only the coordinated actions of our states  on the whole range of issues on the integration agenda will allow the  synchronization of the industry of the countries of the Union. "I am  convinced that the pace of interaction we have accumulated will  ultimately lead to the emergence of new national champions within the  EEU capable of crowding the world's technological leaders in global  markets," concluded Denis Manturov, and the Second International  Forum of Eurasian Partnership (IEPF) will be held on October 5-7,  2017 in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, the International Forum of  the Eurasian Partnership will contribute to bilateral and  multilateral economic cooperation and the implementation of  meaningful and multifaceted business operations I'm waiting for the  governments and business communities of the EEMP member countries,  the CIS, the five BRICS members (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South  Africa), the United States and other countries.The forum will focus  on identifying effective solutions that stimulate regional economic  consolidation and the development of open innovation, The organizers  of the forum are the Ministry of Territorial Administration and  Development of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Economic  Development of the Russian Federation.
