AMD to dollar strengthened in January-October 2017 by 0.4% against the background of deflation of 0.9%

ArmInfo. The revaluation of  the dram to the US dollar in January-October 2017 was 0.4%, only in  October - a devaluation of 0.5%, with an annual devaluation of 1.1%.  The National Statistical Service of Armenia told ArmInfo that in  October 2017 the average calculated rate was 480.7 dr / $ 1, against  475.3 dr / $ 1 in October 2016, 472.5 dr / $ 1 in October 2015,  409.98 dr / $ 1 in October 2014. A year earlier, in January-October  2016, the revaluation of the dram to the US dollar was 1.6%, only in  October - devaluation by 0.2%, with an annual devaluation of 0.6%.

According to the source, the consumer market in October 2017 recorded  an inflation of 0.8%, in January- October 2017. - deflation of 0.9%,  with an annual inflation of 0.7%. A year earlier, in October 2016  inflation was fixed at 0.5%, in January-October 2016. - deflation of  3.1%, with an annual deflation of 1.5%.  Before that, in October  2015, deflation in 0.4% was fixed, in January-October 2015 -  deflation of 2.4%, with an annual inflation of 4.4%.

Recall that in 2016 the dram's position against the US dollar did not  change against the background of deflation of 1.1%. On an annual  basis (January-December 2016 to the same period in 2015), a slight  revaluation of the dram to the dollar was accompanied by deflation of  1.4%. Only in December 2016 the devaluated devaluation to the dollar  by 0.9%, with inflation of 1.1%. In 2015, the devaluation of the dram  to the dollar by 4.2% was accompanied by a 0.1% deflation, but only  in December, the devaluated against the dollar by 0.6% with inflation  of 1.7%. In 2014, the devaluation of the dram was 14.1% (only in  December - by 10% with inflation of 3%) was accompanied by inflation  of 4.6%.

It should be noted that AMD / USD formed on the retail currency  market of Armenia at the level of 484.3 drams / $ 1 on November 3,  2017 against 484 dr / $ 1 as of December 31, 2016 and 476.3 dr / $ 1  as of November 3, 2016.
