The Director General of the airline Robert Oganesyan stated this at a press conference in Yerevan on November 23.

According to him, additional flights will be carried out on December 30-31, 2017 and January 6-7, 2018.  Ticket price for both  the direction will be $ 175, of which $ 110 will be the airport fees for the capitals of the two states. "This is necessary to activate tourist flow and attraction of new air passengers, "the general director said, adding that after negotiations with the leadership of a number of hotels an agreement was reached to provide special tariffs in order to make the cost of the tourist package even cheaper.

Robert Hovhannisyan stressed that recently there has been an increase in mutual visits of both businessmen of both countries and representatives government and tourists. This is evidenced by the results of monitoring conducted on the regular flight Yerevan-Tel Aviv, carried out by the airline twice a week - on Thursdays and Sundays. As a rule, the general director noted, Israeli citizens arrive in Yerevan on Thursday and depart in the opposite direction on Sunday. The round trip cost is $ 220.

In addition to the Israeli direction, from December 18 "Armenia" will resume flights to Beirut, the price of one way ticket is 99 euro, including all fees, and from December 15 - in the direction of Baghdad.

Earlier because of the events in Kurdistan, flights to the capital of Iraq were suspended for safety reasons. "Now everything is quiet there, the zone has opened, and the flights are being resumed," the general director said.

The airline continues to operate flights to the cities of Mineralnye Vody and Voronezh. Moreover, as Robert Oganesyan noted, every month there is an increase in passenger traffic in this direction.

"There are already passengers who flew 20-30 times the sides of our airline, for which we have prepared a special" loyalty card ", which allows buying air tickets with discounts of 10-15%," he stressed.

Answering the question of ArmInfo about the impact on air tickets of air tax of 10 thousand drams, the high cost of Yerevan Zvartnots airport services and the high cost of aviation fuel, the general director noted that there are active discussions on the air tax, and how the problem will be solved , it is still difficult to say. Note that the park "Armenia" consists of two aircraft - Boeing 737-500 and Boeing 737-700. The staff consists of 53 people. The founders of the airline Ashot Torosyan (51% of shares), Tamaz Gayashvili (24%) and Robert Oganesyan (25%) opened the airline after the "Armavia" company's bankruptcy in 2013.  Now two Armenian companies operate in the domestic market - Armenia and Taron Avia.
