There is no black list of tax shelters-offshore in Armenia published  by the EU

ArmInfo. The European Union has  approved a black list of 17 offshore companies, to which sanctions  may be applied in the future. About this, according to TASS, Reuters  reported with reference to the Minister of Economy and Finances of  France Bruno Le Maire.  Previously, Bloomberg reported that only 36  countries, including Armenia, could get into the black list of  offshore companies.

According to the agency, the list includes American Samoa, Bahrain,  Barbados, Grenada, Guam, the Republic of Korea, Macao, the Republic  of the Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Namibia, Palau, Panama, Saint  Lucia, Samoa, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia and the  United Arab The Emirates.

Minister of Economy and Finance of France Bruno Le Maire specified  that 47 more states and territories are included in the so-called  blacklist. They promised to eradicate offshore practices in their  legislation and ensure financial and tax transparency.

In 2016, the European Commission identified 81 countries and  jurisdictions, which recorded a high probability of applying tax  evasion schemes.
