ArmInfo. The Armenian interbank currency market reduced the volume only by 0.5% from December 18 to 22 (after growing by 14.1% a week earlier), and during the week transactions were made daily, but large volumes were observed on Wednesday and Friday. Simultaneously, interest in dollar transactions in the intrabank currency market was observed with the volumes of euro and ruble transactions falling. The exchange market is empty for the seventh month.
As a result, the dram against the dollar continued to slowly strengthen - from 481.8 to 481.5 dr/$1, tune to devaluation to the euro - from 568 to 570 dr/1evro, while "frozen" to the ruble at 8.2 dr/1 rub. A year earlier, on December 22, 2016, the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 482 dr/$1, to the euro - 503 dr/1euro, and to the ruble - 7.9 dr/ruble, which, in comparison with current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the dram to the euro and ruble at revaluation to the dollar.
