ArmInfo. During the 9 months of the agrarian state program of subsidizing leasing (April 1, 2017-January 1, 2018) 68 Armenian farmers received 164 units of agricultural equipment: 68 tractors, 2 combines and 94 units of other equipment.
According to the press service of Armenian Agriculture Ministry, the implementation of the program will allow subsidizing 500 units of equipment by 2.8 billion AMD a year, which will ensure the renewal of 2% of the farm machinery fleet.
Within the framework of the program, lessees have the opportunity to lease various agricultural equipment on the following terms: prepayment - 20%, interest rate - 2% per annum, maturity - 3-10 years depending on the type of equipment: harvesters - 10 years, tractors - 6 years, and other equipment - 3 years.
"The main goal of the program is the use of leasing mechanisms to supply agricultural machinery to farmers on affordable terms, which will help create favorable conditions for the organization of production and efficient use of agricultural land," the ministry said in an official statement.
