Lately complaints have been received from consumers and mass media in the Armenian Auto Insurers' Bureau that some insurance agents call and offer to conclude an OSAGO(Third party liability insurance) contract with the insurance company with which these consumers did not have and do not have an OSAGO contract. According to the press service of the Bureau of Motor Insurers of Armenia.
Taking into account this circumstance, the Bureau of Motor Insurers of Armenia once again reminds: "In order to avoid such problems, the Bureau approved uniform conditions for OSAGO that are an integral part of the contract on compulsory motor TPL insurance, effective from 2016 and clearly state what to inform or remind the client about the renewal of the contract of OSAGO can only the insurance company or its representative, including insurance agents, with which this client had a concluded OSAGO contract. "
Therefore, in all other cases, when they call and offer to conclude or renew the contract of OSAGO on behalf of those insurance companies or their agents with whom the client has never had a concluded OSAGO contract, the client has the right to inform the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
