ArmInfo. Arzni military airport will be included in the list of airfields for the joint deployment of civil and military aviation in Armenia. The decision on this was taken at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on February 15.
As the head of the Civil Aviation Department of Armenia Sergey Avetisyan informed, the training program for pilots-pilots started in the training center of the GDCA, which is a package consisting of theoretical and practical stages. To conduct a practical stage, training flights on fixed-type aircraft are provided. As a result of discussions with the specialists of the Ministry of Defense, as noted by the head of the GDCA, a decision was made on the expediency of using the Arzni airport, which belongs to the defense department, for these flights. "Based on the requirements of the current law on aviation, there was a need to change the status of the airport, which implies that the airport will be used as a joint base for civil and military needs," said Sergey Avetisyan.
