The Government of Armenia plans to approve the application of ZAO "Medical Center" Shengavit "about exemption from the import customs duty for the import of technological equipment, their components, raw materials and materials. The draft resolution was included in the agenda of the executive body on 6 March.
As stated in the certificate of substantiation to the document, the imported goods of the CJSC will be used by the healthcare sector.
It is noted that the planned investments will amount to 140 million drams, the investments made for today reached 5.5 billion drams. Within the framework of the investment program, 70 new jobs will be created with an average monthly salary of 300 thousand drams.
It should be noted that in 1938 the Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 3 in Yerevan was founded. In 2001, the maternity hospital was reorganized into the medical center "Shengavit", all shares of which belonged to the City Council of Yerevan. In 2002, all shares became the property of the MC team, which turned into a multidisciplinary medical and diagnostic institution. Since the foundation, as stated on the website of the MC, about 306,000 children were born in the institution.
