ArmInfo. The conflict of interests, private and family relations are to lose their affect on hiring procedures, rapidly ceding the place to understanding that the success in business depends on proper hiring and employment of staff, Karen Sargsyan, the development and management expert of Armenia-German Consulting company of Penta expressed his opinion to journalists on December 13 in Yerevan.
According to Sargsyan, during recent five years a rapid enhancement is observed in the sector of human resources management in Armenian companies: both the motivation schemes and HR-managers approach are being changed. In the first case the main accent is put on the development of schemes aimed at the long-term increase of the staff motivation. At the same time, HR managers, getting to hiring the required candidates, began to consider many factors - assuming their vision of employees as the main asset of the company and it's strategic resource. According to the expert, it is also important that Armenian companies improved their work in respect to staff training, which is one of the preconditions for motivation tools efficiency. According to him, European experience shows that the company aimed at long-term sustainable development draws up to 4% of the total turnover. Armenia has no exact statistics in respect to this issue, but, according to our monitoring, the exclusive importance to the training procedures is paid by international entities, banking sector and all those who are ruled by international standards. What is to local companies, they are not strictly concerned about that.
The main gap in the aspect of HR management is that the specialists are not at their proper places, the expert mentioned. At the same time, the HR management in Armenia is not developed and is not at the precise level today. As of today, the HR manager and the Staffing Officer is the same term for many people. And very few HR-managers could reach high level in this aspect, and to select highly qualified specialists from hundreds of candidates, to improve the indicators of company's efficiency, to increase its competitiveness and to decrease HR-management related expenses.
