ArmInfo. On March 23, the State Committee for Urban Development of Armenia held discussions with representatives of Mecanoo, Arson, BioNaFarm from the Netherlands about possible cooperation in the field of architecture.
As the press service of the State Committee told ArmInfo, Deputy Chairman Armen Gularyan presented the guests the priorities of the Armenian government in the field of architecture and construction, as well as investment projects planned by the department. According to the architect of the project company Mecanoo Polina Strukova, Armenia is interesting not only from the point of view of history, architectural monuments, but also as a possible partner. In this context, she proposed to implement joint projects for the construction of affordable and comfortable housing, the creation of landscape architecture and modern cultural centers, including through the exchange of experience. Earlier it was reported that in accordance with the order of the Prime Minister of Armenia, the State Committee for Urban Development submitted investment packages for the construction of $ 230 million to the Government. According to the results of the discussions, projects worth $ 105 million were recognized as realistic. According to the head of the Committee, there is financing and a bank guarantee. Draft designs are also ready, and it remains to work on working variants. At the same time, as specified by Narek Sargsyan, the list of approved projects for a total of $ 105 million does not include those that are already being implemented. In particular, the circus building, hotel "Dvin", road construction projects. According to him, half of the submitted projects are related to housing construction, in which 5% are appropriations from the state budget, and 95% are private investments. The rest of the investment programs envisages the construction of hotels, buildings and public facilities. "50% of the expected investments will come from abroad, and the remaining 50% of investments were promised by local investors."
