ArmInfo. On May 11, during the Governmental meeting, the "Sevan Aqua" is released form payment of duties on imports of technological equipment and raw materials, and also granted a three-year grace period for VAT payments.

According to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Suren Karayan, the company submitted to the government a new investment program worth 1,750 billion AMD, within which 85 additional workplaces with an average salary of 330,000 AMD will be created. It is planned to double the number of cages at the fish farm on Lake Sevan from the current 12 to 24.

As Arminfo earlier reported, in 2016, the Armenian Government approved the complex program of fishing development and the restoration of stock of trout in Lake Sevan for 2016-2024. The investment will amount 50 billion AMD.  In particular it is planned that the fish growing will reach 10 thousand tons per year. Due to the implementation of the program, the trout will reach 1.4 kg, instead of the earlier planned 0.7 kg, it is also planned to increase the supply of fry.

"Sevan Aqua" is one of the entities within the investprogram for fish growing in Sevan lake. In 3 years the company must reach the production level of 685 thousand fishes with expected income of 2.4 billion AMD.  It is expected to reach the level of 50 thousand tons of trout in 10 years.
