ArmInfo. Armenian Interbank Currency Exchange from 7 to 11 August, sharply increased volume almost 2 times, after a decline in 3.8 times a week earlier. In parallel with this, in-house foreign exchange market, the buying of the USD and the EUR has changed the uptrend to downward with the activation of sales of these currencies, and RUR transactions in terms of sales continued to fall with the change in the dynamics of buying from growth to decline. The exchange currency market continues to be empty.
As a result, the AMD against the USD, after a two-week stagnation at the same level, tended to strengthen - from 479 to 478 AMD/USD1, rebuilding to the EUR from devaluation to revaluation - from 569 to 563 AMD/EUR1, while slowly weakening to the RUR - from 7.9 to 8 AMD/RUR1. A year earlier, on August 11, 2016, the exchange rate of the AMD to the dollar was 477, to the euro - 530.5, and to the ruble - 7.4, which, in comparison with the current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the dram to these currencies.
