In January-November 2009 the average price for a square meter of a private house in Yerevan amounted to 294.6 thsd drams having decreased by 4,5% if compared with the same period of 2008, and by 19% taking into account the March devaluation of Armenian dram. The regional private houses increased in price on average 7,9%, although the decline was 8,8% taking into account the March devaluation of dram. To note, the total of 1010 private houses were sold in Yerevan and 2786 in the regions over the reported period.
The price category of houses in the districts of Yerevan has not changed and the maximal price for a square metre was fixed at the central part of Yerevan (470 thsd AMD/1 sq.m. at district) and the minimal at district (140 thsd AMD/1 sq.m.).
The most expensive houses were fixed in the regions in Tsakhadzor (179 thsd AMD/1 sq.m).
