ARARATBANK intends to increase the number of its plastic cards to 60 thsd before the end of 2010


ArmInfo. ARARATBANK intends to increase the number of its plastic cards by 57% to 60 thsd in 2010, Chairman of ARARATBANK Board Ashot Osipyan said on Friday.He said that over 2009 the bank managed to increase the number of plastic cards by 16.9 thsd or 79,3% to 38.2 thsd. To note, ARARATBANK issues local ArCa cards and international MasterCard card, including chip cards.

According to Armenian Card, Dec 1 2009 the number of plastic cards issued by ArCa member banks grew by 26.4% to 440,043 (274,826 ArCas (62.5%) and 56,241 MasterCards (12.7%)). Dec 1 there were 2,986 terminals and 556 bancomats.
