61,5% growth of crediting volume by commercial banks of Armenia over a year
ArmInfo. The volume of crediting by Armenia's commercial banks in Jan-March 2010, as compared to the similar period of 2009, grew by 61,5% to 145.1 bln drams.
As ACRA National Credit Bureau told ArmInfo, the commercial banks issued 178447 credits in quantitative terms over the 1st quarter, that exceeds the indicator of the similar period of 2009 by 31,3%.
As of April 1, 2010, ACRA Credit Bureau had an information of over 2.7 mln repaid and 667,000 current credits, as well as 947.8 thsd credit histories (18.3 thsd of which are histories of legal entities, 929.5 thsd - those of individual persons).
To note, there were 22 commercial banks working in Armenia as of April 1, 2010.
To recall, ACRA Credit Reporting Bureau was created in 2004 by Credential Inc. Its shareholders include Central Bank of Armenia (10% shares), 17 commercial banks, the First Mortgage Company, American Dun & Bradstreet International LTD and other companies. All 22 commercial banks of Armenia and the majority of credit companies use the Company's services.
