"Griar-Insurance" insurance company piles up the lost
ArmInfo. "Griar-Insurance" gathered premiums at 66 mln drams in the 1Q 2010, which is by 52% than over the same period of 2009. But the company has managed to cut the difference with the pre-crisis level, as a result of which fees collection amounted 38% if compared with the 1Q 2008. The level of refunding reduced more then twofold - to 5 mln drams as against the same period of 2009.
The total of 24% of premiums gathered in the 1Q 2010 are the fees from casualty insurance, 23% - property risks insurance, 22% - motor transport insurance (KASCO), 15% - general responsibility insurance. The minimal volume of premiums was fixed in the segment of giving guarantees, which is probably connected with tightening of Central Bank normative.
The insurance company increased its capital up to 1.115 bln drams; the assets of the company grew up to 1.3 bln drams, reserves - 145 mln drams. The net profit of the company amounted to 94.8 mln drams in the 1Q 2010, having decreased by 33% as against the same period of 2009.
To recall, "Griar-Insurance" has been acting in the market since 2000.
