Central Bank of Armenia: Over February 2010 real effective exchange rate of AMD grew by 0,88%
armInfo. According to the monthly reference book of the Central Bank of Armenia, over February 2010 the real effective exchange rate of AMD grew by 0,88%, and as compared with December 2009 – by 3,8%, having reached 125,9.
In Feb 2010 the real effective exchange rate of AMD declined by 21% as compared with Feb 2009. To recall, over 2009 this index declined from March till November and grew in January, February and December.
At the same time, the nominal effective exchange rate grew by 1,4% in February 2010 as compared with January, and by 3% - as compared with December 2009, having reached 217.3. In February 2010 the nominal effective rate dropped by 25% as compared with Feb 2009. Over 2009 the nominal effective rate declined from March till December.
