VTB Bank (Armenia) is enlarging its risk management activities
АрмИнфо. VTB Bank (Armenia) is enlarging its risk management activities by introducing retail risk management, Director General-Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank (Armenia) Valery Ovsyannikov said during a press-conference.
Retail risk management will help the bank to centralize the decision making process in its branch network by means of automated instruments for allowing its customers to receive decisions within 20-30 minutes at any sales point. "We have seriously revised our approaches in our risk management system in response to the crisis. We have toughened our requirements because the risks have grown. Last year we reviewed our approaches to both retail and corporate risks," Ovsyannikov said.
VTB Bank (Armenia) reports that in 2009 the bank's assets grew by 20.7% to 119bln AMD (3rd place in the banking system), credit portfolio by 3.9% to 73.6bln AMd (3rd place). Last year the bank increased its share in total corporate crediting to 12%. The profit was 0.9bln AMD.
