Eight Armenian banks among top 100 of taxpayers in Armenia
ArmInfo. Eight commercial banks of Armenia were among top 100 taxpayers in Armenia for Q1 2010.
The State Revenue Service of Armenia reported that ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank ranked the first out of the 8 banks by 747.1 million drams tax payments, including 705.5 530.4 million drams profit and incomer taxes (the 16th position among top 100 taxpayers). Than goes Armbusinessbank that paid 540.7 million including 530.4 million drams profit and income taxes (the 25th position). Ameriabank paid 472.4 million drams to the state budget, including 356.1 million drams profit and income taxes (the 30th position). Ardshininvestbank paid 458.3 million drams taxes, including 427.1 million drams profit and income taxes (the 31st position). HSBC Bank Armenia took the 36th position among top 100 taxpayers by 403.2 million drams tax payments, including 330.7 million drams profit and income taxes. VTB Bank (Armenia) paid 361.7 million drams taxes, including 345,8 million drams profit and incomer taxes (the 48th position). Converse Bank took the 85th position among top 100 taxpayers paying 189.6 million drams taxes, including 175.4 million drams profit and income taxes. Unibank provide the 96th out of 100 taxpayers by 176.6 tax payments, including 171,2 million drams profit and income taxes.
To recall, in Q1 2009, seven Armenian banks were included in the list of top 100 taxpayers: VTB Bank (Armenia) (17th position among top 100), HSBC Bank Armenia (18th), Unibank (21st), ACBA Credit- Agricole Bank (24th), Ardshininmvestbank (33rd), INECOBANK (70th), Converse Bank (85th position). The Armenian banking system encompasses 22 commercial banks.
