Unibank to ensure 3 bln drams profit in 2010
ArmInfo. According to the results of 2010 Unibank is going to provide 3 bln drams profit, chairman of Unibank Council Gagik Zakaryan said at annual meeting of the bank's shareholders on 3 May 2010, press-service of the bank reported.
As chairman of Unibank board Vardan Atayan said, the past year was hard for the banking system of Armenia, but Unibank demonstrated stable growth in all the directions of activity. At the end of 2009 the assets of the bank were more than 108 bln drams having grown by 59% if compared with 2008. The credit investments grew by 40%, the volume of credits amounted to 66.7 bln drams. The time deposits of individual persons amounted to 45.5 bln drams (40% growth), the time deposits of legal persons amounted to - 10.7 bln drams (181.5% growth). The volume of call liabilities grew by 15,4% in 2009 having amounted to 12 bln drams. The number of operations on giving service to customers amounted to 1.7 mln. The number of plastic cards of Unibank grew from 24.000 up to 36.000 over a year. In 2009 the bank set 14 ATM and 123 POS-terminals, increasing their number up to 63- and 495 respectively. More than half of the Armenian market was the share of the money transfer via the UNIStream system.
