Receipts of Armenian insurance companies grew by 38%, net profit fell by 61%
ArmInfo. Over Q1 2010 the receipts of Armenian insurance companies amounted to 1.898 bln AMD, the annual growth of which (as compared with Q1 2009) exceeded 38%, says the quarterly report of the Central Bank of Armenia.
According to the source, as of 31 March 2010 there were 12 insurance companies, whose net profit annually declined by 60,8% to 363 mln AMD.
The level of insurers' indemnities annually declined by 12% to 355 mln AMD.
As of 31 March 2010, the summary assets of the Armenian insurance companies totaled 16.8 bln AMD. In the structure of assets, the fixed assets amounted to 711 mln AMD, and available funds - 19 mln AMD.
The summary total capital of the insurers amounted to 12.2 bln AMD, of them 10.7 bln AMD fell on the authorized capital. The insurance reserves of the local insurance companies annually grew by 29% to 2.8 bln AMD. According to the Central Bank of Armenia, as of 31 March 2010 the number of agreements in force totaled 48639, the insurance amount on which exceeded 3.3 trln AMD.
