Converse Bank holds new actions "Hot summer" and "Multiply the deposit"


ArmInfo. From June 10 till September 30 Converse Bank is holding two new actions on time deposits - "Tezh amar" (Hot summer) and "Bazmapatkir nerdrum" (Multiply the deposit).

The press service of Converse Bank told ArmInfo that within the frames of "Tezh amar" action, the deposits are taken in AMD for a period of 12 months at the interest rate of 13% p.a. The minimal amount is 50 thsd AMD. The depositors receive an exclusive opportunity to receive a loan worth up to 70% of the deposit volume, and the interest rate of the loan is 13%. The Maximal period of the loan is restricted to the validity period of the deposit contract. Under this action, the depositors will be provided a plastic Visa Classic card with free servicing for a year, and the annual servicing of Visa Gold card is carried out at 50% discount.

Within the frames of "Bazmapatkir nerdrum" the deposits are also taken in AMD for a period ranging from 12 to 24 months at the interest rate of 12-14% p.a. The minimal amount is 30 thsd AMD. The given deposit gives an opportunity to the depositors to accumulate target funds within the period they choose. To attain this goal, the depositors may monthly replenish their deposit account uniformly. The interest rate is calculated with due regard for the replenished amount.

According to the Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia prepared by the Agency of Ranking Marketing Information (ArmInfo), as of 1 April 2010, the portfolio of time deposits of Converse Bank amounted to 26.3 bln AMD (8th position), or about 40% of total liabilities of the bank. In the structure of time deposits, about 60% fell on the deposits of individuals; the rest fell on the deposits of legal entities.
