In Q2 2010 share of foreign capital in authorized capital of Armenia's banking system grew from 65.8% to 73%
ArmInfo. In Q2 2010 the share of foreign capital in the authorized capital of Armenia's banking system grew from 65.8% to 73% ot 142.4bln AMD ($388mln). The authorized capital of the banking system grew by 1.3% to 195.2bln AMD or $531.2mln.
The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reports that the capital of the banking system grew by 2.9% to 293.7bln AMD ($799.2mln), wherein profit was 68.4bln AMD or $186.3mln (0.6% drop). The main reserves grew by 79.4% to 14.8bln AMD ($40.2mln).
July 1 2010 there were 21 commercial banks with 393 branches in Armenia. In June 2010 Cascade Bank merged with Ameriabank.
