In Q2 2010 amount of loans given by banks to physical entities grew by 0.1% to $811.1mln
ArmInfo. In Q2 2010 the total assets of Armenia's banking system decreased by 3.9% to 1.3trl AMD or $3.6bln.
The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reports that the amount of loans given to physical entities grew by 0.1% to 298.1bln AMD or $811.1mln, the amount of loans given to affiliated entities and bank employees grew by 27.9% to 28.4bln AMD or $77.3mln, the amount of loans given to legal entities grew by 1.2% to 432.4bln AMD or $1.2bln. The amount of money invested in government bonds grew by 5.3% to 112.4bln AMD or $306mln. The amount of money on bank nostro accounts decreased by 41.2% to 62.5bln AMD or $170.1mln. The receivables from the CB (including correspondent accounts) decreased by 25.3% to 168bln AMD or $375.4mln. The cash decreased by 3.6% to 64.2bln AMD or $174mln.
As of July 1 2010 there were 21 commercial banks with 393 branches in Armenia.
