Central Bank of Armenia forecasts 10-15% growth in private money transfers in Q3 2010
ArmInfo. The amount of private money transfers in Armenia will grow by 10-15%, says the Central Bank's forecast for Q3 2010.
The growth will be due to growing economy in Russia (the IMF says that the Russian economy will grow by 4.3% in 2010).
In Q1 2010 the amount of private money transfers into Armenia via commercial banks and financial organizations totalled 102bln AMD or $235mln - 18% more than in Q1 2009. The amount of private money transfers from Armenia totalled 53bln AMD or $132mln - 22% growth. As a result, the net inflow of money transfers totalled 49bln AMD - 6bln AMD more than in Q1 2009.
