Ararat Ghoukassyan appointed as Chief Executive Director of Byblos Bank Armenia
ArmInfo. Ararat Ghoukassyan has been appointed as Chief Executive Director of Byblos Bank Armenia. As press-service of Byblos Bank reported, Armenian Central Bank adopted such a decision (No. 36) on 25 August.
Since late 2009 Ghoukassyan has been Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia. Dec 2007-Aug 2009 he was Executive Director of Converse Bank. Before that he worked for HSBC Bank Armenia, HSBC Bank Malta and HSBC Bank Ukraine. Ghoukassyan is highly professional banker and excellent manager.
Ghoukassyan was born in 1963. In 1989 he graduated from Physics Department of Yerevan State University. He has also graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of the American University of Armenia. In 1993-1995 he worked at Mashtots Engineering Center.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia, as of July 1 2010 the capital of Byblos Bank Armenia totalled 8.4bln AMD, assets - 25.6bln AMD, liabilities - 17.2bln AMD.
