HSBC Bank Armenia to create special branch for "Status" exclusive banking package


ArmInfo. HSBC Bank Armenia is expected to create a special branch for the "Status" exclusive banking package in 2011, Astrid Clifford, HSBC Bank Armenia Chief Executive Officer, told ArmInfo.

The given service is highly in demand now, she said, and gives various advantages to customers, including personal banking advisor, Platinum plastic card and preferential tariffs.

A. Clifford said that the bank has launched large-scale repair at its branches to improve the branch network. Specifically, the head office is currently under repair and the branch "Komitas" will be repaired within the autumn.

At present, HSBC Bank Armenia serves 10 branches. Ranking of Armenian Commercial Banks prepared by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo) says the assets of HSBC Bank Armenia totaled 126.7 billion drams on July 1 2010 (2nd position in the banking system). Total capital of the bank amounted to 18.8 billion drams (5th position), liabilities totaled 108 billion drams (2nd position). The bank's profit for the first half of 2010 totaled 1.8 billion drams. The shareholders of the bank are HSBC Europe B.V. with 70% and Wings Establishment with 30%.
