Real Effective Exchange Rate down 1.7% for July 2010
ArmInfo. Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER) was down 1.7% for July 2010 in Armenia but up 11.8% for Jan-Jul 2010 to 135.54, says the Central Bank of Armenia monthly reference guide.
In July 2010 versus July 2009 REER grew 7.3%. This indicator suffered decline only in March and July of 2010 and since March up to November in 2009 (growth was registered for Jan, Feb and Dec).
The Nominal Effective Exchange Rate (NEER) was down 0.8% for July 2010 and 10.5% for Jan-Jul 2010 to 233.12. In July 2010 versus the same period of 2009 NEER was up 3.7%. In 2010 NEER fell in March and July only, whereas in 2009 it suffered decline since March up to December.
